Threads by Instagram is a new social media app by Meta designed to be a more intimate and personal way to connect with your close friends and family.  It’s built on top of Instagram’s infrastructure, so you can use your existing Instagram account to sign in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Threads <\/a>is a separate app, so it has its own unique features and design. It is totally different from Instagram as it is useful for microblogging just like Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was launched on the 5th of July 2023 in 100 countries including Nigeria, the United States Of America, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Japan. Threads is not available in European countries due to regulatory restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Create a Threads account<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create a Threads account, you need an existing Instagram account. If you don’t have an Instagram account, you can create one by following the instructions on Instagram’s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have an Instagram account, you can create a Threads account by opening the Threads app and following the on-screen instructions. You will be asked to enter your name, phone number, and a few other details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you’ve created a Threads account, you can add friends by searching for their names or phone numbers. You can also add friends who are already using Threads by tapping on the “Suggested Friends” tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To send a message in Threads, simply tap on the “New Message” button and select the friend you want to message. You can then type your message and tap on the “Send” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also send photos and videos in Threads. To do this, tap on the “Media” button and select the photos or videos you want to send. You can then add a caption and tap on the “Send” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can share your status in Threads by tapping on the “Status” button and typing a message. You can also add a photo or video to your status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Threads are organized by date. To view your Threads, tap on the “Threads” tab. You can then swipe left or right to view your Threads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
