After many requests from our customers, late nights coding and far too much coffee, we’ve just released a closed beta of our Online Invoicing API.
At Invoice, we believe in continuous development and add new features and improvements to our products regularly. We also want developers and users to be able to interact with our beautiful invoicing solution using front-facing API technologies. That’s why we’re now introducing the pre-release version of our API.
The community of developers is high on our priority list and our goal is to make it as easy as possible for developers to integrate with our system so they can take full advantage of Invoice’s capabilities. Not only that, we rely on the developer community to help us continuously improve our product so they can do what they do – even better.

Simply put, an API (Application Programming Interface) allows two different applications to ‘talk’ to each other. It acts as a bridge that lets applications exchange data and trigger actions. For example, our API can be used to create a new invoice, or trigger sending an invoice to the client. Our goal is that our API can be used to do anything you can do through our web interface (and some things you can’t).
For small businesses with existing websites, API integration will be a technology game-changer when it comes to making business processes more efficient. Customers who integrate, save time and money – not only at the time of integration but on an ongoing basis.
We’ve put a lot of time and effort into this API (get the documentation here). We are excited to get customers using it, and most importantly, to receive your feedback. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Happy Invoicing!
